I. DESCRIPTION
It consists in the realization of a stay or research internship abroad of at least three months, with a team or researcher working on topics related to the doctoral thesis. The purpose of the internship is strengthening the internationalization of doctoral research. In duly justified cases of force majeure, the Doctoral Committee exceptionally will be authorized to analyze and consider the exemption of this requirement.
II. OBJECTIVES
. To deepen the knowledge of the doctoral student about the production of research in his area of specialization both from the point of view of designs and elaboration of experiments, advanced
techniques, analysis and types of data analysis, among others.
. Disseminate, explain and strengthen the doctoral research developed by the student.
. Acquire experience in the dissemination of research and its own results in a context of international collaboration with academics from similar areas.
III. CONTENT
The content will be defined in accordance with the research topic of the student.
IV. METHODOLOGY
. Tutorials with academics from the host institution
. Thesis presentations in colloquia or seminars or other activities of the host institution
. Participation in seminars or scientific colloquiums to discuss results in related areas.
V. EVALUATION
The activity will be evaluated as Distinguished (D), Approved (A) or Failed (R) by the thesis supervisor based on the activity report. The report has to have a minimum of 5 pages and needs to justify the performance in the
academic activities specified in the objectives.
VI. BIBLIOGRAPHY
The literature will be defined in accordance with the topics studied.
