I. DESCRIPTION

The Research Proposal consists of an original and independent scientific investigation that contains an introduction, hypothesis, objectives and work proposal to be developed. It should be, in the opinion of the Candidacy Commission, a significant contribution to the discipline in the interface of engineering, biology and medicine. This activity consists of a formal oral presentation of the Research Proposal to the Candidacy Commission.


II. OBJECTIVES

. Present by means of an oral presentation, the thesis project, justifying the research decisions made by the student.


III. CONTENT

Defined by the student, under the supervision of his/her Thesis Director.


IV. METHODOLOGY

. Oral presentation and defense of the work proposal to the Candidacy Commission


V. EVALUATION

The Thesis Project will be evaluated as Distinguished (D), Approved (A) or Failed (R) by the Candidacy Commission. The approval of the Thesis Project grants the quality of Candidate to Doctor.
