I. DESCRIPTION

The Candidacy Examination evaluates the competences acquired by the students in the Program related to Engineering, Biology and Medicine, in its theoretical and methodological components and transcends the scope of its research proposal. This activity consists of a formal oral presentation to the Candidacy Commission. This academic activity requires completing the previous requirements of the curriculum and those established in the program regulations.


II. OBJECTIVES

. Demonstrate knowledge and critical thinking skills in topics related to the student?s area of research as well as other topics studied in the Program.


III. CONTENT

Defined by the Candidacy Commission according to the students? topics of research.


IV. METHODOLOGY

. Formal Exam in front of the Candidacy Commission.


V. EVALUATION

The Exam will be evaluated as Distinguished (D), Approved (A) or Failed (R) by the Candidacy Commission. The approval of this exam qualifies the student as PhD Candidate.
