I.DESCRIPCIÓN DEL CURSO

Este curso permite al alumno comprender el rol que cumple el sector publico en la economia de un pais. Durante el transcurso del semestre, se pone especial atencion en instrumentos de manejo macroeconomico del sector publico tales como los impuestos, el gasto publico, la emision de deuda y el manejo de fondos soberanos. El curso ilustra aspectos teoricos por medio de la experiencia de algunos paises, en especial con el caso chileno.

1. Distinguir la estructura y ambito del sector publico.

2. Manejar las principales herramientas macroeconomicas disponibles en el sector publico y evaluar los impactos del uso de estas herramientas.
