I. DESCRIPTION
The student will prepare an oral presentation of the progress made during the first year of the research (V Semester) to the Thesis Committee. Likewise, and if necessary, propose any necessary modifications to the research process for the future. This academic activity requires completing the previous requirements of the curriculum and those established in the program regulations.
II. OBJECTIVES
The main objective of this activity is to assess the degree of progress of the Thesis Project, to identify the difficulties and to guide the student in the case that a change of objectives is required.
. Present the achievements during the planned research activities.
. Discuss the proposed modifications to the doctoral research.
III. CONTENT
Elaboration of a progress report of the thesis project, considering the obtained results, difficulties, changes of objectives, generation of products (presentations to congress, publications).
IV. METHODOLOGY
. Preparation of a progress report of the Thesis.
. Formal oral presentation of research achievements during the first year of development before the Thesis Committee.
V. EVALUATION
The student will prepare a progress report (100%) in which he demonstrates the degree of fulfillment of the objectives committed for the period, justifies the non-compliance and proposes strategies to continue with the
development of the project. This activity will be evaluated as Distinguished (D), Approved (A) or Failed (R) by the Thesis Commission considering the written report and the oral presentation.
